PROGRAM

Day 1.

Welcome dinner at a Parisian-style cafe and restaurant that dates back to the days of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.  Their menu offers both Hungarian and international dishes.  The ambience is enhanced by live mood music.

Day 2.

City walks with a tour guide – orientation in the city and exploring the different events. The 20th of August is always a special celebration in Hungary. Think of it as a huge summer closing party, which has been extremely precious for the locals for thousands of years.  It is one of our oldest national holidays, when we celebrate the foundation of our state, the state’s founder Saint Stephen, and the “festival of new bread” The National Holiday offers a varied and rich program of festivities, concerts, foodie events, swearing-in of new military officers, water and air shows.

Dinner under a sparkling sky – the biggest, most spectacular fireworks display of the year. You will enjoy this breathtaking show in one of the city’s most beautiful squares, 15 March Square at the foot of the Elisabeth Bridge. Watch the fireworks from the front row and enjoy live music and a rich buffet dinner.

Day 3.

Grand Budapest Tour by private bus and tour guide – summer in the city.

Romantic dinner cruise on the Danube River. In addition to our enthusiastic band of musicians, folklore dancers dressed in traditional Hungarian costumes guarantee your absolute comfort and diversion.  This 80-mts sightseeing night cruise is an unforgettable way to explore the city’s most iconic landmarks, all while you are indulging in some of Hungary’s finest wine and cuisine — a four-course meal.

Day 4.

Visit a thermal bath that was built in 1918 in Art Nouveau style. Recharge in the therapeutic thermal waters and enjoy a stylish space. It is not just a spa day; it’s a cultural and aesthetic experience. There are 10 pools of various sizes and temperatures, saunas, hot rooms and massage.

Dinner is at a chic rooftop bar that has city views & a piano lounge in Budapest’s historic city centre. It is all about fine wines, fascinating cocktails, light bar food, and glowing evenings above the city.

Day 5.

Cafe and Cake at the most beautiful café house in Europe –  step inside the New York Café. It was built in Italian Renaissance style, with sparkling chandeliers dangling from high ceilings adorned by spectacular frescoes, it’s one of the oldest cafes in Budapest, dating back 125 years.

Afternoon Milonga

Dinner – In addition to the specialities of Hungarian cuisine, the menu also includes the restaurant’s main specialities, famous duck dishes, with excellent wines exclusively from Hungarian wineries. The live music and the elegant environment create a great atmosphere.

6. Day

Walking tour in the Royal Castle with a private guide – The Buda Castle is one of the main symbols of Budapest. It dominates the city from the top of Várhegy Hill, allowing enjoying an amazing view. The castle was first completed in 1265, although the massive Baroque palace today occupying most of the site was built between 1749 and 1769. Here you find art and history museums, churches, massive courtyards and iconic attractions like the Fisherman’s Bastion, famous for its fairy-tale exteriors.

Dinner – in a trendy Hungarian restaurant – homely, Bohemian milieu and excellent dishes of Hungarian gastronomy with live piano music.

7. Day

So Long – Dinner

Chic, sexy, cosmopolitan, yet local – a restaurant that is far away from the tourist crowds in the heart of a quiet Buda neighbourhood since 1914. It has been the café to hang out and the spot to be seen ever since.
