Listen to beautiful classical concerts, go Christmas shopping in the most atmospheric downtown setting, and dance on Christmas milongas with local dancers. HOTEL

Opened in 1913, this traditional Viennese hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the State Opera and the Karlsplatz Underground Station. It offers an Austrian restaurant, free WiFi and 24-hour reception. The interior of the building is historical and at the same time, it’s a very comfortable and quiet place. The hotel is in the heart of the centre of Vienna yet the surroundings will charm you with its small stores, cosy cafes and urban flair.

Quiet and central: Your room in Vienna

The Viennese tradition at the hotel is also reflected in the 79 individually designed, cosy rooms. Our individually designed non-smoking double rooms with individual adjustable air-conditioning with fresh air supply are partly equipped with an additional sofa. If requested the double bed can also be turned into a twin beds! There is also a tea & coffee-making facility in each room, a flat-screen TV with free Sky channels, a mini-bar and a bathroom with a hairdryer.

A generous breakfast buffet is included in the hotel price. You can choose from a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, numerous types of white and brown bread, as well as sweet and savoury delicacies, and much more. The restaurant ( closed on Sunday evenings) is dedicated to the tradition of tavern cuisine, offering an authentic Viennese ambience to feel good and enjoy.

MILONGAS & MAESTROS

WORKSHOP & XMAS MILONGA

Maestros: Maria Casán & Pablo Ávila professional Argentine tango couple and run their tango studio – the Tangoloft – in Vienna. They work together with renowned maestros like Carlos & Rosa Perez, Maria Ines Bodgado & Sebastian Jimenez, and Sebastian Arce. They are characterized by elegance & precision. Their style is traditional, with the basis of Tango Salón where a stable embrace, cadence, pauses, melodies, walking & giros are important and every detail has meaning. 

Their teaching methodology focuses on the essence and spirit of Argentine tango and the basics.

21:00 Milonga with international DJ – During the milonga there will be a tanda loca where everyone dances with everyone and chacarera.

During this milonga, we offer you a taxi dancer service for the workshop and the milonga (approximately one hour). You will also enjoy a welcome drink and some finger food.

DAY 1 – Thursday

Welcome Dinner – MUST HAVE package

Restaurant in the heart of Vienna. A romantic ambience in historic vaults – the building as first mentioned in the year 1341 document – with classical music and candlelight. Good home cooking, exquisite wines and fine draft beers.

Milonga – traditional music. MUST HAVE package

Please, note that taxi dancer service is not provided during this Milonga!

DAY 2 – Friday

City tour with our private local guide – MUST HAVE package

Vienna “Behind Touristic Myths and Histories” – discover the relationship between life and living in Vienna to the city’s art and architecture in a unique style of storytelling.

Perfume Tasting – HAVE IT ALL package (can be switched to Luxury Vintage Walking Tour)

How did people produce fragrances 200 years ago? Find out this and much more on this unique tour of the oldest perfumery in Vienna, which exclusively catered to the emperor and empress. In the oldest Viennese Coffee House, learn about the ancient Viennese fragrances and their secret ingredients. Taste the emperor’s fragrances and other traditional Viennese fragrances, which have been around for more than 200 years. As a small souvenir, you will also receive a traditional Viennese perfume to take home with you.

DAY 3. – Saturday

Luxury Vintage Walking Tour – HAVE IT ALL package (can be switched to the Perfume Tasting tour)

Tango Workshop and Tango Loft Milonga  – MUST HAVE package

Milonga with a performance by the maestros, welcome drink and delicious finger food.

DAY 5. – Sunday

Schönbrunn Palace and Christmas Market – Private Tour – MUST HAVE package

Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers. It was built sometime between 1750 and 1776. The Baroque palace is magnificent, the furniture befitting of a queen and in the best of taste. The gardens have everything that art has ever created. Schönbrunn Palace is one of Austria’s most important cultural assets listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites.

Christmas Market – the entire Ehrenhof of the palace will shine as a winter Christmas world and offer a magical ambience. With over 90 markets, the new, generously designed Christmas market combines the flair of a charming village with the impressive backdrop of Schloss Schönbrunn.

Dinner – MUST HAVE package

– in a family-owned tavern that is more than 330 years old. It has been serving our own wines since 1784. In winter, the wood-fired tiled stoves provide a particularly cosy warmth. In addition to the excellent wines, there is a hot and cold Heurigen buffet with seasonal delicacies.

Classical Concert at Mozarthaus – “NICE TO HAVE” package

Witness the Mozart Ensemble Vienna and enjoy a moving and unforgettable concert at Mozart’s first house in Vienna, Mozarthaus including Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, and more. Step into Vienna’s historic city centre, and enter the Sala Terrena at Mozarthaus Vienna. It was built in the second half of the 12th century.

Please transfer the 50% advance payment within one week after booking or latest by the 23. of November. The rest of the amount is to be paid upon arrival. The price of the program is indicated on the website in Euro currency and NET rate.

Cancellation

Cancellation fees:

In case of forced cancellation of the holiday by the organisation or by the hotel:

– refund of the total amount minus 25€ pp for administrative and insurance costs.

Cancellation by participants:

– Until 2 weeks before arrival 100% of the pre-payment – minus our commission and actual expenses – of the ordered services we agree to return. A bank transfer fee and 25 EURO administration fee are charged to the guest. 

– From 7 days before arrival 0% of the prepayment of the ordered services we agree to return.

No-show: In case of a no-show, 100% of the whole period (the total cost of the package) will be charged.

Guest liabilities: In case of damage or loss in the Tango2Vacation’s partner’s property (hotel, restaurants, taxi service etc), the guest shall be held liable for the damage, if the damage has been incurred due to the conduct of the guest.

– after the start of the vacation: the full amount is due unless a last-minute replacement is found.

 Cancellation due to illness or cancelled flights is to be covered by the guest’s travel insurance, not Tango2Vacation.
