Our teachers – Judit & Lucas

“Teaching is more than imparting knowledge, it is inspiring change”

Our passion is Argentine Tango. Our aim is to make you experience the pleasure of dancing.
With more than 20 years of trajectory, we do our best that our students live the beauty of dancing day to day, in all our classes.

Our (short) story

2014 was the year when Lucas and Judit met and had their first but definitely not last dance together in Buenos Aires.  By that year, he had 22 years of experience in tango and Judit had been dancing for 14 years. They were coming from two very different backgrounds – Lucas was born in Argentina and trained by the most renowned masters (most importantly Mingo and Esther Pugliese, Gustavo Naveira and Mariano Chicho Frúmboli) and Judit was born in Budapest and had a strong classical dance background. Yet they both had the same passion for tango and decided to work together to transmit the spirit and knowledge accumulated by the vibrant energy born between them.

After just a couple of months of working together, they already performed in various milongas and festivals in Buenos Aires (as El Yeite Tango Festival and the prestigious C.I.T.A). They spend the greatest part of the year in Budapest where they have regular courses and from there they have the possibility to travel on the weekends to different cities in Europe where they perform and teach.

More about Judit & Lucas

Milongas

Milongas every night together on different, scenic locations and live DJs. The Xmas Ball will be held in a sophisticated, elegant venue. More information to follow.

Depending on the Covid-19 situation, we will organise the milongas together with local tangueros.

On our farewell milonga a special performance by our teachers.

City tour

Private city tour by bus

Budapest is one of Europe’s great cultural capitals.

Over the past few decades, Budapest has re-emerged as one of the continent’s iconic cities. Split by the Danube and many bridges connect the two parts. Meet your guide at your hotel and begin the program in Pest.

Drive along the elegant Andrássy Avenue, the “Champs-Élysées” of Budapest. Continue to Heroes’ Square, representing 1,000 years of Hungarian history. Going through the historical Jewish district admire the neolog synagogue. Across the river, explore the more traditional Buda side of the city. Visit the Citadel on top of Gellert Hill and pulsate together with the city from the most iconic viewpoint. Arriving to the Castle District up on the hilltop, enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the Fishermen’s Bastion and Matthias Church (the coronation spot of several Hungarian monarchs). Returning to your hotel driving along the riverbank you can take pictures of the beautiful Hungarian Parliament.

Walking tour in the city centre

Budapest always was a beautiful city but the real revival of the capital started after the political systemic change. Explore Budapest’s hidden gems by walking around the Jewish quarter with its triangle of the extraordinary synagogues and Andrássy Avenue.

From the Jewish quarter, we will walk to Andrássy Avenue, which is famous for its architecture and high fashion shops. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a little time in one of the most famous cafés of Budapest.

Dinner cruise on river Danube

Budapest dazzles at night, so get a romantic new perspective on the Hungarian capital with this popular evening cruise. Glide down the Danube River past illuminated landmarks like the impressive Parliament Building, sparkling bridges, lively Pest promenade, and Buda Castle, illuminated Liberty statue atop the Gellért Hill and many more…Kick off the festive, hour and a half long voyage in a private boat with a welcome drink of sparkling wine and good music and three courses of delicious dinner of Hungarian cuisine.

Learn how to dance and drink like a Hungarian

Folk dancing in Hungary is on an incredibly high artistic level. Enjoy a dynamic dance show performed by a professional Hungarian folk ensemble and even learn some steps! To complete the experience taste the traditional Hungarian fruit brandy, pálinka, which is a must-do thing. The cheerful atmosphere and pálinka definitely will make you snack from the cold plate buffet.

Bloody Tales from within the Castle Walls

Kings, Vampires and Killers

This tour takes you to the charming and most intimate place of the city: the Buda Castle district. A journey into the dark history of XV. and XVII century with stories of Battles, Vampires and Myths that lie between fantasy and chilling truth.  The tour is guided by a talented storyteller in period costume who will share historical facts and Hungarian legends from the middle ages. Starts from the bottom of the hill, walking on the pace of a stroll to the top of the hill, from where the view of the city is magnificent.

Midnight bath – visiting the Rudas Turkish Bath

Rudas Bath is one of the oldest, over 300 years old, still functioning institution, not only in the capital but also in the country. The Bath has its own indoor swimming pool, which is the warmest thermal bath in Budapest, with 29°C.

The elongated building of the bath consists of three parts: the area in the south was completely rebuilt in 2014 as a wellness area.  Its charm is the outdoor pool, established on the southern part of the roof, from where the bathers can observe the traffic at the port and the Danube.

Spine training / Massage / Beauty treatments

Spine & Fascia Training

Have you ever wondered what exactly does “being grounded”, “push the floor” or “activate your centre/core” mean? We hear them quite often at tango classes, but are we really able to understand these concepts in relation to our own bodies AND to incorporate them into our movements?

Body awareness and the ability to use our bodies in an efficient way with minimum effort is key to develop a soft and relaxed, yet stable and energetic presence on the dancefloor that will ensure both long years of pain-free dancing and a high level of comfort on your personal tango journey. Spine and fascia training combines sensorimotor exercises to sharpen your senses and to discover effortless movements with special exercises to treat your fascia – the connective tissue that weaves through your entire body and whose condition is responsible for the vast majority of non-specific low back pain.

Let’s empower our senses and work together for a more balanced, free and elegant dance experience!

Our teacher – Kata

Kata, besides being an avid tango dancer, teacher and organiser herself, is a certified Pilates and PortDeBras instructor with qualifications in spine and fascia training and more than 25 years of experience in historical dancing. She is dedicated to helping her students experience the liberty of movement let it be on the dancefloor, on a mat or in their everyday lives and to share with them the vital knowledge of physical self-care for a long, active and healthy life full of dancing.
